Oh god that was awesome. I am wondering if the Aliens are moving a little too slow? There's supposed to be a place in campaign that's surrounded by Sentry guns as a safe haven but it only lasts so long before the Aliens find a way into it.
I really do hope they don't mess this game up, the poential here is staggering. |

| AvP has been an FPS for most of it's life. The game your talking about is AvP Extinction on the Xbox (original) which was an rts. Interesting idea but lack of atmosphere and too many cliches bogged it down. |

Some more details released to day, apparently the PC version will be using Steam and will also support a MP co-op survival mode of up to 4 marines vs aliens.
Reading between the lines this is interesting because one of the limitations of the previous AvP titles was the number of character model on screen at any given time was kind of low. To support a 4 way co-op especailly if its anything like L4D survival (which frankly sets the standard atm) means a hell of a lot of models and potentially waves of aliens. Something that hasnt been seen b4 in AvP games... |

The co-op part if done correctly could blow L4D away, I used to play a co-op mode in the original AvP. It wasn't quite refined but if the people playing it were into a bit of roleplay then it worked a charm.
I'm not sure about having the similar numbers of Aliens to blow away though, the Graphics are going to be quite intense.
