last night my hw2 wouldnt run so i reinstalled...but i didnt have the cd key with me and i had to use one i found on the interwebs, which didnt work so for a few days im not playing...
actually... that went as 2v2 lol, coz one of the guy never checks in and the host booted him out...
3pm gmt0 now... and its midnight for me lol, but im BETTING you guys to show up, coz i'll be awake for the time to come.... ........... saw star-tfl a moment back tho.
Man that was an awesome game. One of the longest game's I've ever played on CB and certainly the only time every single patch on the whole dam map went dry. lol I said I'd do a game report so here goes a quick one:
Me (hiig side) Sfu/mother (hiig back) Recycled/jitter (vay front)
vs
Xerxes (vay side) Xboobs (hiig back) Star (hiig front)
We start off keeping our distance from each other. I take a 3rd patch and get some int and then bc/dd. Sfu does bc's and rec does vay swarm. I scout around and it looks like xbomber is on bc, while star/xeres both do fighters > corvs. Everything's cool till about 15mins in when when xbomber jumps 2 bc to my 3rd patch.
I jump my first bc to defend, and sfu jumps his 2 bc about 30 seconds latter, we get split up by the gw on xbomber's bc, but i figure its cool since we've got 3 and they only got 2. But suddenly there's another 2 bc behind xbomber's 2 bc!!! I'm shitting my pants now wondering how the hell star got 2 bc, since I've had a probe on him the whole time and he's been making int/pulsar off his cc/ms... So we start fighting there and with my team's bc somewhat split up in a 3v4 situation, we loose our first 3 bc and then another 2 that me and sfu jumped in, killing only 2 of their bc...
I'm scratching my head on how they had so many bc, so we scout xbomber and find out he did a bloody sy spam.... Litterally first time I've seen that strat used in over a year since its been shunned by all skilled as way too cheap(t). Sfu is already saying gg in teamchat and going '' @ xb in global chat... Anyways I'm never one to give up so I rally my team to fight back. Swarm looks bad, our bc's are all dead, and there's atleast 3 bc marching on us from the side patch - but god dammit I dont wana loose! lol
So I retreat off both my regular patches on the side position, and move my ships next to sfu in the back. They hit us with 4 bc on my side, and 5 dd in the front with lazers from xeres. They take long enough to march those bc all the way into our base though, that me/sfu now have 4 bc aswell and some dd. One of their bc's got ahead of the rest so we pffted that and managed to win the bc fight. Meanwhile recycled is getting toasted by dd/lazer, and now they have another 2 approaching the front of our base. So we move our bc/dd up to help recycled just as they jump another 2 bc in on us there...
By now me/rec are both in sfu's starting position, and sfu seems to be the only one collecting from asteriods, . Me and rec are just harvesting debree to keep afloat. We keep fighting over rec's pos for like 40minutes, holding off star/xeres/xb with pointy sticks and lots of pebles... Me/rec take our patches back durring the fighting, but its clear that they have both outside patches aswell as the middle patch, and its over an hour into the game and our asteriods are running out of ru...
We do have some bc advantage though, so the team charges our bc to the middle, and pushes xerxes off the mid patch, killing lots of colls and dd/bc there. We kill all that shit and have 4 bc at mid now, but somehow sfu/rec can't get their bc to move past mid... Basically they would tell bc 'move' but then the bc's see some of xerxes swarm and want to stop moving to go kill some fighters... (F2 guys!!!) Eventually we get our 4 bc into their base, and a bit of probing tells us star has abandoned his empty front patches and moved to the outside patch on my side of the map, xerxes is moving his ms/cc's to the other outside patch since we toasted his base at mid, but xb is still sitting in the back with 2 sy.
We should have went after xeres or star, but we end up just charging our bc at xb in his base. We fight in their base for another half hour - but xerxes has a gw at mid, so we have to keep walking re-inforcements into a battle that seems to be going nowhere...
Back at home its clear that we have problems. Star has been constantly attacking me on the side with ONE! cc pumping frigs for the last hour, and somehow I've only been able to occasionally send a dd or two to defend vs his frigs, without actually killing the source... (the lack of ru on my team was histerical, we were practially poor beggars out on the street) Well this time they send a bc to help the ions and i get pushed off my patches again and my cc/ms both blow... We kill the bc only once it gets to our sy's.
All the while Xerxes has amassed corvs, and suddenly all the collectors we had running around finding dead bc debree are all dead... The missles continue to rape us until sfu comes up with some ru to start a double torp pump. We kill the missles, but its too late - between the three of us we have maybe 10 collectors, and all our bc have been killed. They jump in and clean our team out after 2 hours of holding it together with no ru and 1/3 of a base against lots of red ships.

Hehe Star and I didn’t know that SY-Spam is ugly. When we actively played Hw2, we constantly got beaten with that strat and now after a few months break, we simply didn’t know its forbidden now …
And we (and you) did a few big mistakes, that made that game so long. :-D
Star wasted all his when he attacked with his bcs. When I was there, his ints were all dead. Then we didn’t realize, that our patches were empty and run out of ru. That was, when we stopped pushing forward. And we also thought, that we killed Recycled and that it was 3vs2 now … so we were very surprised by your late swarm.
Your biggest mistake was, not to kill me. My MS and CCs were alone in the center (not to far away from your bcs – you could have killed them in one or two minutes. But instead, you went very slowly to xbomber’s sy … :-P I first never thought, we could still win this and I don’t know how Star and X managed to kill your main fleet. And since you couln’t really win the swarm in your base and kill my cols collecting there, I could snipe all your cols with my missiles. :-D

IS 2D shunned aswell or maybe if u lose enough ull shunne it aswell LoLz
and were have all tfl been? I’ve only seen Star, Cern, Recycled, Apo (only once) and bclaytz (a few secs). maddy? tank0? bbt? rae? daft? …?
And how went the last game, that I left before it started? I really couldn’t play anymore (sore throat, burning eyes, light head ache …) and had strange dreams last night. I hope I’ll be healthy enought to party tonigh :-D

We had some ggs yesterday met some people who normally dont show up all at once. But Im a bit disappointed I was hoping that much more TFLs will show up, except me, xerx ,Cern, Recy, there were Byclatz, radical and Apo (saw them only once), Tank, Madi, P5, Rae, Daft, BBT where were u guys
