Well apparently I`m back from working and have a little more time to play now.
This was a vgg on Sarum. Sky went fo ints straight while gini went for dds. I told sfu that I was going to build adv frigs in order to rush YC who went for the middle patch.
As I had my first 2 flaks and marines out in order to attack YC, the latter tried to kill my frig mods with bombers all the way, but thx to my flaks and sfu passing me a few ints I could keep my mods. This ended up in YC blowing his cc and ms as I marined him.
Gini passed him another cc, so YC was still in game.
Gini didnt actually go straight dd,he built fighters first in order to get our cols. However, I could spread the flaks and due to sfus fighters Ginis impact wasnt too big on our cols. A few col attacks on our far patches here and there but we still could maintain state of being superior. .....
sky tried to pump out as many frigs as possible with his (by now) 2 ccs, while gini was on 2 ccs pumping ints and dds........in the meantime me and sfu had already advanced to the middle patch.
Though they recovered quickly and tried to attack us in the middle, we had enough dds (since me and sfu both pumped dds now) to contain the upcoming pressure. I had to concentrate extremely on my frig/dd micro, while sfu was responsible for the fighter fights...........After having advanced to our middle patch they were forced to retreat to our 'ion-eating' forces and the game took its way.............vgg
Things might have looked different once sky/ginin would have been able to kill my frig mods (yc was able to kill my frig mod on ms, but he couldnt get my cap fac, so I was still able to pump dds). And there even was a situation in which I had just 1 col left, since gini (who already knew that he was going to lose the dd/ion fight in the middle) sacrified his dds to target on my cols only. YC tried to kill my cc in the mean time, so they were trying to split our forces, which didnt work out Žeffectively since we had about 6-7 dds around.

hmm, yes, more or less, but just bit of extra empty lines here and there wont hurt, like extra ru. being roomy and all.

I agree Hideki. PARAGRAPHS to tell the story, though I am as guilty as anyone of not doing this.
Never underestimate a team that knows each other vs a team that doesnt. It is funny how some people have more respect (intimidation factor) and others dont. Daft is well respected by many but there are some who dont realize he is as strong a player as he is. I know that some people do different strats when they think they are facing a known enemy. Then when they face the same guy and think he isn't who he is they might play more aggressive and maybe even win!
