Quick 15 min pfftSome few hours ago, after sitting in lobb for a half hour trying to find a 6th skilled, we settle for 5/6 skilled + some gen, and lauch - only to have game sync in first minute. lol So rematch goes up and we do same team deal.So me, AOHNH, and this Rosie chick who says she's really a guy, team up Vs Cernunnos, Dafty and Bacon. After cyling maps, I settle on TFL-fallenlords. Me and Daft land on the back positions, with everyone hiig cept rosie. Aohnh is as far away from me as he could be - but wants to go double dd anyways. He gets fast cap fac for me, and I pass him his ms back till my dd research finishes to disguise the move somewhat. DD res finishes, and i trade Aohnh my cc for his ms. Everyone else makes fighters except daft who goes strait frigs. A few mins in Bacon and Cern hit rosie with their fighters, I tell rosie to stay docked till Aohnh can get enough inties up to help. Cern and bacon kill a few colls before moving on to one of my cap facs. -_- My motherships are still separated by a good wase so i didn't get cloak mods on either - oops. I lose the cap fac with a dd at about 90% as my team undocks. The swarm battle rages on over rosie's caps at the middle of the map, with rosie getting 4 gunplats and eventually a fct to help out - still no emp tho... My first dd pops at 6mins, and daft soon has 2 marines on the other side of the map waiting, so i hold my first dd back in our base till i can get a 2nd on out. About now Daft starts throwing torps at my colls way in back. Thankfully i still have some ru stocked after selling my cap fac just before it died. I move my colls to middle and my dd's dont lag much as I start my grav. Aohnh passed me 12 fighters and somehow I managed to hold the middle with some mad docking micro while Ao and rosie attacked the torps. About 4 torps land causing hell in the back - nvr saw any bombers from my team so i'm glad torps died off quick enough from our int. At 3 dd I move in and waste Cern's front patch, he falls back but after torping daft only has 2 marines and maybe 8 ions to my 3 lv2 dd's. DD's tore up the frigs and then i passed the first 3 to Aohnh who kept moving them in, pushing cern off his main patch too. Bacon starts on a late dd pump after spamming int for the first 10mins of the game, while Daft and Cern are both on 2x adv frigs now. The frigs lifespan's are a mear 30 seconds nxt to our dd's though. 15mins into game, with some small swarm advantage and 7 dd roaming their base, bacon syncs out before we could blow him up -_-. Then Cern pardons himself and says 'we really shouldn't have lost' (cause tfl don't lose :D ) before he's confronted with sad 'Defeat Screen' =P GG TFL - and to bacon's credit i don't think he's played in a while. But 10 games back, cern don't get to grab that excuse. :) stats |

Well first of all, gg.
Second thing, I wasn't on adv frigs at all... I was the one torping your back patches... And thirdly, yes, we really shoould have won, but not because TFL always wins but because we totally had fighter superiority on a map like Fallen Lords, which we only lost through stupidity.. In my opinion the only reason we lost the game was because of T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E microing. Since I got back to playing 2 days ago I have to admit I've been simply shocked at the level of microing that some people still use after YEARS of playing (not to mention all the hilarious build queues I've had the pleasure to see since then)..... I won't name anyone though lol -_- And I'm not talking about my teammates in this case! -_- Although, our fighter micro really was terrible. We had alot more fighters at the start, we killed most of Rosie's ints once he undocked them without losing many and before that I was easily able to kill cloaked's cap fac with a dd on 90% with only my swarm without having to really worry about enemy ints, so I think that should tell enough about the fighter situation at the time. We started having a problem once our fighters seperated or to be more precise, once Bacons fighters seperated from mine (to be fair thogh I think he did that because I told him to attack a cap fac with me) -_-.Now for everyone who's mildly intrested, here are two simple rules you really need to pay attention to when you're trying to win by going ints. - NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER separate your int swarm, unless you really have TOTAL superiority meaning the enemy has about no ints. - ALWAYS!!! kill enemy Ints first, even if it means a dd is going to pop out... if you have fighter superiority you can just kill off it's engine and capture or just ignore the lame thing for a minute... then kill cap fac and so on..... Of course to every rule there is an exception, so, in some cases it's worth losing your ints if you can kill a cap fac on a shipyard for example so they can't get a bc out. Sorry cloaked and the rest, I'm not at all trying to take anything away from you, you guys played well and deserved to win, but if we just followed these two rules we should/would have won in my opinion. Oh and right, Bacon and me should have transferred fighters to Dafty, which I didn't because I didn't think there was any chance in hell we could lose the fighter battle. Which would have been true if we didn't make any mistakes. But I think I should have forseen that we would make mistakes and that not everything would just work out perfectly the way I was planning it, so in a way it may also have been my perfectionist way of seeing the game that cost us the win..... Oh well, gg.... |

What you do outside of the forum is your own business and I'm sure many legit players would welcome the chance to recover a damaged or lost disc  we just can't endorse it is all.

actually sins doesnt require all that much amazingly... they rendered the game completely differently and by doing so made it work on even the shity pc's without slowing the game down in big battles =) | ||||

Yeah complete bollocks, if you can play SoaSE you can play HW2 though you do need the HD space to run both of course.
I did actually find my HW2 disc the other day, but SoaSE beckons my friends... |

Actually ive tried hw2 on this laptop. Its terrible. Plus u know how much i micro in hw2 , i need the framerates to be atleast 25 and above. In sins theres less micro.
The reason sins can run on my laptop is because you can play slightly zoomed out so that everything is in icon mode. |

LOL. The game with Cern and Daft was fun but wow we stunk the place up. Thomas, Cloaked, and Heavy Guy all played very smart and got their bcs to line up pretty. Ours did a dance. They were line dancing and we were doing the cha cha. Then someone got sneaky and parked 2 bcs in the rear. LOL! was fun guys. | ||||

Hrm - not bothering to mention that game synced eh? In first 15mins it looked like CAT would win due to 3bc advantage, and just before thomas synced at 40mins it looked like TDoubleFL would win due to small bc advantage + angle dd. From experience I know good, that just cause Thomas says 'gg', don't mean its over. :D (but ya u guys prolly win it, unless game takes 2nd swing :) )
*ahem, so how about helping me get this p5 guy to atleast play a couple hw2 games in the semi-near future?  I'm sure ur laptop can't be that bad, heck I've got an old pc with an 850celleron and only a 32mb Graphics card that runs hw2 decent enough. U just gotta set all the graphics low, and throw in a few command line switches that leans the game towards preformance. Hw2 lobby is poping with old duds like BlackBaps, Hid, and Cern back in action - and I'm still holding down an undefeated record in 3TFL vs games.  U wouldn't let that continue, would u?  *snif, snif

That's true, but really that game would have needed a major fuckup on our side to change again, so well I'd say we had that game.
And I don't want to excuse or brag about anything, but to be honest with you so far you only faced understrength, underachieving and totally out of form TFL teams, that was nothing compared to the true potential TFL has or at least once had (almost all the hardcore TFL players stopped playing HW2 a long time ago...). |

U saying TFL sux's now? :D I wouldn't say they sux, their pretty cool but seem to be lacking in the skill department. First they lose to sf, then they start losing to gens, aods, and random's like myself - man how far can it go. :D In all serousness, yea I realize u guys haven't played in ages and are getting beat up as such, just trying to drag some of u 'former skilleds' back into hw2. Or atleast setting the seeds for a return if sose flops online.... -_- |

Didn't most of the players in game say "gg" before Thomas dropped, including your other teammate (CPU1: "gg, i guess")? Afterwards there was a lot of chatter about the game, but not a word about the possibility that synch changed anything.
Pic taken just before Thomas crashed We had 6 BCs to your 2 or 3. Our dds had killed all cols (or chased survivors away) at both pos4 patches, at pos5 FS patch and pos6 CC patch, leaving you with 3 active patches to our 7. Another dd was sitting over your outside patch to gobble up cols there. We had dds at your pos6 with Cern's ion fleet approaching and Daft's 5 dds heading in same direction. We weren't on defensive anywhere. And we were moments away from sending all those BCs on an unfriendly visit to pos6 or pos5, neither of which you could have defended. 2nd " swing" would have had to be a lot bigger than first. Sorry if it irks you that I didn't mention T's synchout, but it never occurred to me that someone might think the outcome was in doubt.

LOL Cloaked trying to get the old retired people to come back. Well if they have time maybe but it takes a couple of weeks for them to get back up to "OMG how did he do that?" and really to tell the truth I think you are as good as we ever were. I don't think anyone will be coming back to hw2 from Sins. If I had it and liked it I wouldn't. Truth is I log in once in a great while and now that I am writing my term paper I won't be on hw2 at all. Too much time vs the reward.
Cloaked...go get Sins. Meet P5y (Zanarkand), BigBangTheory, and Temmu there. I know you have mastered hw2 now but isn't it time to go master something else. I don't want any self-stimulation jokes inserted here either! |

Thats cute , but in all honesty Ive moved on. Its good to hear that theres still a competitive community out there , but its just not good for a gamer to stick to one thing forever. I moved through 4 games between Hw2 and Sins. In 06 I left for SW:EaW. New games come new challenges. When I moved to EaW to co-lead the Division. , we did alot of great things there , and we were regarded as a top 3# clan tho being 1# was always a disputed issue. trophy room speaks for itself. I think i was on 150 wins and 4 losses . rank . 8# before i left the ladder in disgust at devs for their gimped patches. .
The sad thing now is that im pretty busy , so im starting to tone down my gaming days and Sins looks like the perfect bet for a laid back game. Doubt ill go back to homeworld 2. |

lol, thanks mad. But dam, no p5 in hw2 i guess. Oh well, I get 3/4 wish with black/hid/cern combo fumbling through their manuals trying to remember what collectors do again. :D
I'll be watching for online reviews and feedback from other hw2 players on sose though. If it turns out good, i'll go buy. :) Would be cool if some tfl guys would post reviews about the final game, and say how many peps are showing up online. Oh and Finger = nub :D But since I owe so love arguing with u about the outcome of synced games. I'll simply say that I myself said 'gg' after thomas said his 'gg'. After losing that last bc fight like we did in comical fashon, u guys deserved to win that one - wether we pull '2nd swing' off or not. lol - I'll post the rest of my detailed thoughts elsewhere for u, so u can 'lol' back at me. :) I figure standards odds, 5% chance we turn game around, but since everyone was playing half asleep while me and aohnh both got shocked by the 'shit were losing' thought, I estimate some 95% chance we turn game around, bomb all ur mods, and marine all ur ships. :D |

hmm, come on p5... we arent deliberately trying to stick to one shit till the end of earth, except none of the new games just rocked enough to move on (except i play fps games occasionally for some fresh air), and it shows so when tfl doesnt have a game that many members stick to since hw2. (maybe some eaw, but not much anymore or coh)
