pi is a great mystery . i did math in highschool and we had to read a book about the subject . i can tell you if we ever find its a ending number it would change our entire world.
primenumbers and the number pi are viewed as a sign of intelligent societies on the galactic scale so maybe thinking its 3.14 is just a sign of the times , like galileo and his flat world view

so i tried posting it yesterday, but my browser crashed when i pasted pi into the text box. i left it running all night thinking that that would help, but it didnt.

haha yeah when i was in my 5th year of highschool i stole the startupdisks of the pcs and replaced their autoexec.bat with one i wrote so the comp would load everything i could find into virtual memory and then let the ram calculate pi .
that year we didn't have a exam for IT since all the computers mysteriously froze when they booted . ah the good old at 286 days and knowing more about them comPUUUters then the teach
the next year the teacher tried to flunk me because i used a "case of" structure instead of a nested "if then" structure but i got the teacher overruled by the other IT teacher and the principal .he argumented that i wasn't allowed to use it since we didn't learn that in class and i said it was BS because you wouldn't flunk a kid for using a french word they never learned in school . our prinipal , a former french teacher , agreed

yup yup when pacman arrived they would be cueing up to play in the lunaparcs .
keep in mind my first teacher IT was a 60 year old guy who was terrified we woud brake his precious commodore 64 ( 1989 )
he had spend the summer getting his remote controlled car driving squares with the help of his comp , me and two others programmed it to drive 8's or circles during the brake .
spend 4 weeks in detention writing in technical letters for it . ah the times when you would automaticly be a nerd if you knew anything about a comp . even knowing how to turn it on was instant geekness on the social ladder
