HW2: Finger and Daft vs Thomas and HidekiIt was a very long game on CB. All Hig except for Thomas.Hid torped me on 2 patches and Thomas was fighter rushing to support the torps. Luckily my bombers were effective enough to deal with the torps. Finger and me double pumped fighters for a short period to handle the swarm. Then both guys hypercapped onto my patch, Hideki already on arm with marines.......from then on it didn`t look like gg for us...I had to blow my cc since I couldn`t get rid of the marines. A bunge of ions killed roughly 60% of my ru operations and I was like pffft.....I thought it was over. Smart Finger went for a quick bc and also did the dd thing, so we were actually able to force their units to retreat and it gave me some time to recover. Finger passed me a sy with bc res on it, but for some weird reason I couldn`t build anything on that sy and I had to blow it.....so I built a few dds and passed them to finger as he was on lv2 hull. Thomas went for laser production so Finger asked me to build pulsars during my ru recovery. He passed me another sy and jes, I could build bc from it so we finally had double bc production alongside dds, fighters and pulsars. Thomas and Hideki had to retreat their forces back to the centre, which gave finger and me time to mass up. We chose the right time to attack them and we won the big unit fight.While massing up I double pumped lv2 ions, as finger passed me another cc. Finger himself double pimped them as well, so we had quite a nasty fleet. GG lads, poor Dafteh was pretty pooed in the beginning. This is a good example how much worth a skilled ally is. hahaha, dont know what i should say about this, was a waste of time for 70% of the game. i knew i had u at the first 10 min when i had ur cc blown up and blew up finger's cc with my ions and dd were on the way to their run away against my over dozen ions and i felt like if i had some of thomas' ship coming in it would be done but when i looked back at thomas he was rather busy making his cc and ended up having 6 cc, which u cant keep producing without constant lag.
many people seems that they cant finish a game with 1 ms and 1 cc...  even if the strat im up to is a rush, or the map is rather small.
if he had enough bombers to just take out the ion off the bc + some lasers to kill any frigs around before he went mass cc, then game ended completelty at 20min. at least thats what i was expecting at that time of the game. finger said gg, i felt same, but in the end it was just the beginning of a mess. i had to quit right away after the game, it made my sleep late. u guys lost 3 incoming bc with 5 dd and some frigs onto our 5 dd and 1 bc for some reason even making the game longer for another FULL reproduce of the entire fleet on both side... as to comment on ur post, thomas was vaygr, so he can hardly do hypercap, so it was more or less me alone, while thomas gave me 20 or so fighters throughout the game, during the game was in an effective sense. and i dont know if going bc was a smart move against hypercap, as if u had more ions it would've effectively put me away if thomas wasnt coming in with lasers but if u just get a slow bc, 4 bombers without fighter support and its nothing but ur coffin. we had enough fighter support at that time but maybe not bombers in right time. (grand father just died... and woke me up at 3am, so i am harsh...i know) |

Oh, I feel sorry for you, Hid, I hope it`ll turn into the postive side......life can be so harsh......

Hideki, my condolences. Losing a loved on sucks. How old was he, if you don't mind me asking. I've 3 grandparents, 90 (no mind), 80something (old and cranky), 75plus something (achy but fun). I expect the 80 and 70something to go before the 90 because her mind is gone and wont tell her body, hey lets go and chill for eternity...whatever you believe in. i know she believes in heaven. i am really sorry for your loss and i think now more than ever because i can feel it coming for those 3 soon. gg guys and that sucks Thomas got carrier crazy LOL! |
