EVGA 8800 Ultra KO review (& Step-up)Read for yourself:
http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=8906&page=1
Summary:
Very fast card/GPU
Not very good value for money
However I am considering getting one using the EVGA 90day step-up program that I got with my EVGA 8800 GTX KO where its only going to cost about £80 and thats where the real value lies.
The gamble is waiting for 90 days to come close before making a decision to step-up to another higher spec product using your original part as 100% down payment.
In my case the best I can hope for is the Nvidia 8900 product line to be launched sometime mid-July which is looking a bit questionable atm given the lack of highend competition posed by Ati/AMD.

a 8800 GTX or Ultra is never worth the money you spend for it. Get a EVGA 8800 GTS its near the perfomance of a GTX and cost half of the money .

its a bit like a sports car.... very fast not particularly good value.
In my case it was free Im not sure I would have spent £420 of my own money on it.
The 8800 GTS (320MB) is however good value.
Whats tricky is the 1st game to push these cards will be Crysis and thats not due out til September earliest, will the 8800 GTS handle Crysis?
