Considering the free time I have today (Sunday, here), I made a banner. It's supposedly a SOASE banner (I plan to make a few more, Tank0 said he could rotate them, or something) but in reality, it has only one SOASE component in it. Half faded. *shrug* It's a new game so I didn't find much to gather from.

Unfortunately those were too large because they are animations.

Can't really make a cool official banner, though, because I'm not a photoshop wizard.

Not sure about that purple thing though... is it supposed to receive the index/FAQ/search/...etc buttons ?
Maybe a third dark grey shade geometric diamond shaped/cropped corners style object in the top left corner sized between the big one and small light grey one allready presents instead ? Or instead of a uniform shade maybe some tekno-texture for that third object and leave enough space below on the central object to insert the forum's buttons ?

there's something wrong about the TFL logo, me think you should get rid of the edges and make it uniform and try for some ''dropped shadow'' inner bevel like you used for the full clan's name.

it would replace the "the fallen lords , up from the ..." thingie you find below every page and the top banner on the webpage

Since I have made the old one within approximately 2 minutes and have spent 2 days for the new one I feel a bit disapointed...

As I allready figured out no one in the clan don't want my l33t logo but some sort of ugly font that any illiterate can read, I will just deal with it and stfu since I'm a minority

I wanted it to be extruded so that the letters can be impressed onto the surface. I would say that the bottom left portion, the lighter gray, looks a bit awkward, and the purple doesn't look quite right. Going to try to fix that.

edit: Eh... nevermind. Too much work. X_x

Heh, actually I wanted to keep the TFL un-embossed, because if I did it would be a uniform grey, and I want to keep the black/white outline (I worked real hard to keep that...).

well i took the artwork that was allready finished and made a temporary banner , the result is shown above if you are using a myff_tflclan style .

keep in mind this is still a beta version so constructive remarks are more then welcome .

I think you should probably invert the color on the "outside" of the transparency. Having it the same color as the "The Fallen Lords" looks weird.

modded the design , i coudn t do much with "hmmm hmm interesting" but i did change the colors of the frame and i buttonized it while i was at it .

integrated some flash prgramming in a morf to the logo , sure hope yall like it .

the banner is designed that extra design can be added quick and painless , if you need the frame just PM me or inert .

i can also randomize the order of designs if you all decide its needed but remember the banner loads on every page so i wonna keep it light

I wanted to gauge my photoshop skills (read: what I remember) at this point and so I guess I made a banner. It's all dressed up in Asian banner style; I tried at least. Do you guys like this format more or what?

Looks great, I would use it "as it" for a siggy but if it's a pic for the top banner of the forums then yes you need to use taller font size, at least for the game's name. Also the font you use is nice for userbars (*cough*

) but maybe try for something more exotic...

PS you should make the TFL logo more visible, I mean dont use use "hue" or "soft light" or whatever mod you used for the layer, don't fade it.

I'm still at a loss for the full TFL text, I kind of like the userbar text but then it's too small. And it only works at certain intervals, that beng the smallest and the next size being almost half the signature. I'll still scope out for cool font for it (thanks for link inR).

edit: Btw inR, I don't have a transparency of the TFL logo with white lines. I see on your siggy it's white - the only way I got this transparent logo was through a blend mode that kills white. Doesn't work the other way around though. I might find a way to do it, but do you have a transparent white?

And I don't have paintshoppro, I have photoshop.

i think that small sins text or large tfl but i would like to see the TFL easier...

Yay looks great, I think your banner is pretty nice like that, not sure you should change anything anymore about "TFL" logo&font... dunno

Oki, I can send you a white version but, transforming a simple object from white>black or black>white is something pretty easy to do : Negative image.
That's what I use in PSP, I am pretty sure you have the same possibility in Photoshop. Any Black&White picture you apply that effect simply becomes White&Black

It just takes one click and poof here's the reversed image.
Hope you get my point and find it in Photoshop otherwise let me know and I'll send you a white one

You dont have PainShopPro but Photoshop can read .psp files right ? confirm it to me as I am not sure 100%, if not I will convert my files to .psd format.

The file you sent me through the mail was incompatible; the newer versions probably support it but I only have Photoshop7.

Anyways, I can't do that. There is white surrounding the logo, and in order to make that "disappear" I need to do a blending mode called "multiply". It's great for completely black/white pictures, because all the white becomes transparent. However if I reverse the colors, then the TFL will become white and the background black, then I get a big black-ness with a transparent logo.

I don't know how you do it but that's my way. It's very clean, but very limited.

edit: I think I'll have to stay with the userbar text, nothing else really works well considering the space I have. I guess that's poor micromanagement on my part, though.
