There is an interesting article out today which is reviewing the latest Corsair memory. Of particular interest is the comparison of slow memory vs performance memory in games:
To summerise the difference between DDR2-400 & DDR2-1200 memory is worth roughly 25fps.
But more importantly the difference between DDR2-800 & DDR2-1200 is about 5fps. So keep that in mind when spending your money cos it probably worth going for DDR2-800 and spending the rest elsewhere in your system.

funny to see memory can gain 25% boost in fps, but that is, if your machine has no other bottlenecks (like if u still have 386 cpu or 3dfx cards or 500mb hdd and such), if anandtech really got that benchmark right.
yeah right, i just checked the diagram roughly thinking, oh 100fps -> 125fps... : ROLL :
10% to 15% boost... might sound more logical, a game running at 60fps becomes 66fps or so with a great mem, sounds more realistic.
(forum dr-tank... we have a problem... : roll : gives u a rolling laughing emoticon!... me walks away..., sure they both roll but... i just wanted to roll the eyes, not the whole head)
