Apparently because of the build up surrounding Mechwarrior 5, the owners of Mechwarrior 4 have allowed it to be released for free along with the expansions!

Personally I have only played Mechwarrior 2 & 3 which were very good games for their time.

i played the shit out of mechwarrior 4...this makes me want to reinstall it and play..

if it comes out free then we should definatly organizze some games.

I am pleased to see this is appealing to you, if our Chiken friends have an active community in Mech4 we should combine forces for some quality games ping latency permitting of course.

Unofficially the Mech4 free release has been suggested at being around mid-August. I guess the biggest challenge is making sure they have server capacity and making it Vista compatible.

hey chickens are they still playing mw4 with a metric shitton of mods? last time i pulled out my discs i had to install like 7 different community mods to be able to play with anyone..

also will the free release be just the main game or will it include all the expansions?

also(2): ill probably install the game sometime tonight if anyone has it and wants to play hit me up on xfire.
