...involving one of our new recruits!
Sarum Dust Clouds, Pos 1,3, Xerxes and Me vs Skywalker and Sfu on Pos 4 and 6, everyone Hiig.
We started the game by going for a fast fighter rush, 2/1 and 2/2 collectors and sending our carriers to the middle patch, while sfu sent his carrier to the side extension, also going double ints. Sky surprisingly sent his carrier to the middle patch as well, while at the same time lagging behing with int production (I'm not entirely sure I remember that correctly, maybe he even only had one fighter facility).
We immediately started to attack sky's collectors in the middle, then sent ints to attack his back patch. Sfu tried to rush to his assistance, but soon his ints were getting teared up without many losses on our side, since he was just blatantly outnumbered.
After that we continued by sending our intercepetor army over to Sfu's patches and started working on adv frigs. I also tried to sneak one torpedo frigate to sky's back patch, but that got soon teared to bits by his now emerging adv frigs.
But they never recovered from loosing the fighter fight, which of course on sarum is almost impossible. Our ion, marine and int combo soon ended the game. Sky however, still capped one of my ion frigates and Sfu just didn't like the idea of me capping his mothership, which led to him killing my marines with ion plats.
Anyhow, that game was basically decided after maybe 5 minutes, but the reason I post this is that I'm quite happy with the way we fighter rushed, it was a good coordinated attack, we almost always kept our ints closely together, docked at least half decent and fought Sfu's and Sky's ints, once they undocked, very near to our front two carriers.
Ah no sense in lying any longer.... Well, that's exactly what I did, you know, I developed this special micro technique, where I only attack the ships you already reduced to about 10% of health...... shame on me....
